Composite decking

This was the first time I've used composite decking. As always I did a lot of research before starting the project. Watched a lot of videos of good and bad points and unusually for me, I read the instructions thoroughly! Two key points about composite decking (certainly with this system): It's free standing in that if you build the base frame using the composite timbers, It doesn't screw together like a traditional wooden deck. Secondly the composite material expands and shrinks like crazy in heat. During the build I could actually see the beams moving as they warmed up in the sun. I will say that neither point seems to have a detrimental effect and in terms of the finish and the potential longevity I'm more than happy with it.
